Are you blind to possibilities?

Do you occasionally feel stuck?  Bored?  Frustrated?  Do you wonder if there are missed opportunities: a new connection, a more profound sense of purpose, a new adventure?
The truth is new possibilities are always within your reach.  Every day, the decisions you make can open new possibilities.  Some choices may seem inconsequential, some profound.  It’s easier to stay in your comfort zone, but “if you do what you’ve always done, you will get what you always got”.
If you make one small change, you may set the stage for something bigger.  Sometimes the smallest shift in thinking or doing creates the biggest opportunity.

Challenge beliefs about what you can and can’t do.  Maybe you can save money, lose weight.  Maybe you are a good leader.

Set aside time to explore what excites you.  Write in a journal, create a video, take that dream trip.

Are you wasting time and energy on something in your life that doesn’t serve you?  Make room for something new and better.

If you’ve been holding a grudge, forgive!  Removing that block opens possibilities that you may have been unable to see.

Connect with people you pass.  Smile and make eye contact.  Talk to someone while you’re waiting in line.  Being more open can broaden your world.

Say yes to something you’ve always talked yourself out of.  Learn a new skill, take a class, sing karaoke, even if you’re afraid you’ll be embarrassed.

Learn how to do anything that interests you on eHow, Instructables, wikiHow, or Craigslist Community.

Take free college courses at Harvard, MIT or Stanford.
Even one small change can have a ripple effect on the rest of your life.  Don’t let your current thinking blind you to new possibilities.  Believe that new opportunities are waiting for you right around the corner.

The road is easier together, Linda
